About the Practice
Physician's Biography
INTRODUCTION
Ira Warshaw grew up in Miami, Florida the youngest of four in a “medical family”. Dr. Warshaw’s father was a pharmacist and a “frustrated doctor” and his oldest brother was a physician. Dr. Warshaw always wanted people to be at their best medically and was determined to find the right path to help people get to there. In 2008, Dr. Warshaw decided to partner with ModernMed so that he can provide quality preventive health counseling to his patients and develop a stronger physician-patient relationship.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Warshaw achieved his medical doctorate from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. He completed the Family Medicine Residency Program at the renowned Brown University Medical School. The Family Medicine Residency Program has long been considered one of the best in the country; notable for its community outreach and producing Family Doctors who service their respective communities in both Community Health Centers and in the private sector.
EARLY CAREER
After completing his residency program in 1982, Dr. Warshaw opened his private practice in Rhode Island, just a few short miles from where he trained. While in Rhode Island, Dr. Warshaw was the President of the Rhode Island Academy of Family Physicians. He and his partner were successful in building a highly respected medical practice there, but the “business of medicine” began to frustrate Dr. Warshaw. As a result he took a position with Good Samaritan Medical Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1993.
Dr. Warshaw assisted with the development of the Good Samaritan Primary Care group practice. This enabled Dr. Warshaw the opportunity to deliver high quality medical care to the people of West Palm Beach. While at Good Samaritan, Dr. Warshaw served as Chief, Division of Family Medicine and served on the Executive Committee of Staff.
In 2002, Tenet Health Care acquired Good Samaritan and Dr. Warshaw acquired ownership of the practice he helped build. In that same year, Dr. Warshaw was named one of South Florida's "Top Physicians" by Miami Magazine.

He takes great satisfaction when his patients comment about how he listens to their concerns.
