When a patient becomes a member of Dr. Niedfeldt’s practice, he or she also becomes a member of ModernMed, an organization supporting physicians and patients through enhanced services for primary care.

Every member of Dr. Niedfeldt’s practice is entitled to the following:

For members requiring attention for Sports Medicine, services include:

• Exercise Prescription
• Medical care of active individuals
• Diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries
• Prolotherapy (Musculoskeletal injections)

Prolotherapy is a therapy in which a dextrose solution (sugar water) is injected into the ligament or tendon at the point it attaches to the bone. This causes a localized inflammation, which increases the blood supply and flow of nutrients to the tissue and stimulates the tissue to repair itself in these weak areas. This treatment is useful for many different types of musculoskeletal pain, including arthritis, sports injuries, chronic tendonitis, partially torn tendons, ligament and cartilage injuries.
