A Modern Trend is Emerging
In response to the current market circumstances, a new trend is emerging in primary care. Retainer medicine practices, where patients pay a defined fee for services over an established period of time, have become increasingly popular and provide physicians with several benefits over traditional practice models. Retainer medicine practices come in two distinct forms:

Fee For Care (FFC) - the defined fee covers primary medical care
Fee for Non-Covered Services (FNCS) - the defined fee covers certain medical and non-medical services not covered by Medicare or by insurance
Services covered by the defined fee in the FNCS model include a wellness assessment, exam, and plan designed to keep patients healthy. These services are NOT part of the Covered Services defined by insurance contracts.
